You Got Gold: A Celebration of John Prine featuring Katie Daggett and Ed DesJardins LIVE

$22 Adv/$26 Door

You Got Gold: A Celebration of John Prine captures a star-studded tribute to the legendary songwriter, filmed in October 2022 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. The event brought together acclaimed artists, friends, and family to share behind-the-scenes stories and perform classic songs, honoring Prine's enduring legacy. Prine, widely celebrated as one of history's greatest songwriters, captivated millions of fans and earned the admiration of icons such as Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Tyler Childers, Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakam, Jason Isbell, and Bob Weir, amongst many others, are featured in the film performing on the Ryman stage for this special celebration of his life and music.

A note from producer Fiona Whelan Prine, 2025

John passed in April 2020 there was an extraordinary outpouring of love from his many followers and fans all over the world. His life’s work -the catalog of songs he created -had a way of connecting to people using empathy, humor and truth to convey his understanding of the human condition. In helping to create this film my main goal was to honor that legacy in the most honest and authentic way possible. I wanted to create an opportunity for all of us to gather in remembrance, to celebrate how he had lived his life, and to honor his singular and unique talent.

On October 10, 2022, on what would have been his 76th birthday, we gathered at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville TN. Artists from every genre and generation spent two unforgettable nights together. We laughed, cried, shared stories and sang the songs that spanned John’s 50-year career. This film documents those nights and in doing so creates a permanent memorial to our well-loved and sadly missed John Prine. With my co-production and creative partners at Radical Media we captured the artists on stage and the wonderful sense of community, joy and gratitude shared among those who joined us in the audience at the Ryman. As Producer, my hope is that this film will extend the spirit of those nights to audiences everywhere, reminding them how vital, alive, and deeply relevant his songs are, and ensuring that they will be remembered and shared for many years to come.

Featuring Maine-based Americana Duo Katie Daggett and Ed DesJardins. Since 2004, these two combine soulful organic vocal harmonies with spare yet impactful musicianship that never fails to connect them to a wide range of diverse audiences.

Featuring the quartet of Robby Coffin on electric guitar, Ann Holbrook, voice, David Thibodeau on bass, and Seth Warner on acoustic guitar and voice. This exceptional lineup of Maine musicians and performance captures both the intimacy and soul of Prine’s work.  Together, these artists bring warmth, reverence, and their own musical voices to Prine’s songs, creating an evening that feels both familiar and freshly alive. Whether you’ve been a lifelong fan or are discovering his music for the first time, this is a night to laugh, reflect, and sing along-celebrating one of America’s greatest songwriters and the enduring power of a well-told song.
