On the tenth anniversary of Leonard Cohen’s death, we gather to celebrate the words, music, wit, longing, darkness, and light of one of the great poets and songwriters of our time.

Long before the world knew his unmistakable voice, Cohen was a poet. He ultimately spent a lifetime moving effortlessly between poetry and song, exploring love and loss, desire and regret, faith and doubt, the sacred and the profane.

This intimate afternoon at The Hill Arts will bring those words and songs to life in many voices and forms. Friends and artists will read selections from Cohen’s poetry, while musicians reinterpret his extraordinary songbook through cello, flute, guitar, voice, and a cappella performance.

Not an impersonation. Not simply a concert. A gathering around the work of a man who understood that beauty and sorrow rarely arrive separately.
