Called “a master of free verse” in the Boston Globe, Peter Gallway came of age playing the music clubs in Greenwich Village in the 60s where his band, The Strangers, was discovered by John Sebastian and Zal Yanovsky of the Lovin’ Spoonful. He subsequently released over thirty albums on Warner/Reprise and various independent labels, both solo and with bands, including The Fifth Avenue Band. As a record producer, he has articipated in over sixty projects, including the Grammy-nominated Bleecker Street: Greenwich Village in the ‘60s, and Time and Love: The Music of Laura Nyro, as well as Laura Nyro’s final album, Angel In the Dark. He collaborates with acclaimed singer-songwriter Annie Gallup as the duo Hat Check Girl, and with British keyboardist Harvey Jones as Parker Gray. His music has been featured in film and theater, and his songs have been performed and recorded by Bette Midler, Kenny Rogers, Japan’s Bread & Butter, and others.
