Digging deep into the roots of Americana, the World Famous Grassholes and Dave Hunter and the Seven Hundred come together at the Hill Arts for a special Saturday night of down-home bluegrass backed with alt-country stylings, taking you from the earliest days of the Flatt & Scruggs and Bill Monroe's acoustic picking to the heady, twangy sounds dominating the radio nowadays.
The Grassholes kick things off with their white-hot brand of high and lonesome, building on the success of WCLZ radio favorites like "I Do" and "Maybe," and then Dave Hunter and the Seven Hundred will come charging in with the searing guitar and nostalgic vocals that made Dave's former outfit, the Molenes, a favorite up and down the Seacoast, including albums like "Songs of Sin and Redemption" and "This Car Is Big." This is a rare opportunity to have a hell of a good time!
