DARUMA: Film Screening in celebration of Disability Pride Month

  • The Hill Arts 76 Congress Street Portland, Maine, 04101 United States (map)

$20 Adv/$25 Door

DARUMA is a heartfelt and inspiring independent film from Academy Award-winning producer Peter Farrelly that proves life’s greatest setbacks can become the start of something extraordinary.

Patrick, a cynical man confined to a wheelchair, and Robert, a gruff double-amputee, form an unlikely partnership on a road trip with a mission: to reconnect Patrick with the daughter he has never met. Along the way, what begins as a reluctant journey becomes a moving story of redemption, forgiveness, friendship, and second chances.

Filled with humor, honesty, and unforgettable performances, DARUMA reminds us that no matter how many times life knocks us down, resilience, hope, and human connection can help us rise again.

Fall down seven times. Get up eight.
