Cattle Call
Cattle Call is Maine’s answer to a Saturday night honky-tonk, serving up a boot-stomping mix of classic country favorites and rowdy originals with plenty of honky-tonk swagger and just enough outlaw spirit to keep things interesting. With twangy guitars, ripping licks, tight harmonies, and a rhythm section that knows how to kick the dust up, CATTLE CALL can turn any room into a roadhouse.
Expect songs about love, heartbreak, trucks, and the occasional questionable life decision—all delivered with grit, charm, and a whole lot of fun. Whether you're two-stepping, toe-tapping, or just raising a glass, this band brings the kind of high-energy country party that keeps the dance floor full and the good times rolling.
Mark Farrington – Vocals, Acoustic Guitar
Mark is the founding songwriter and front-man of Cattle Call and the voice behind many of the band’s signature songs. A longtime Maine musician, Farrington writes vividly about life in northern New England—log trucks, snowmobile trails, small towns, old friendships, and the bittersweet moments that shape everyday life. His songwriting blends country, folk, and roots rock with storytelling that feels both personal and unmistakably Maine.
Jimmy McGirr – Bass, Vocals
Jimmy is an original member of Cattle Call and Farrington’s longtime musical partner. Known for his tight harmonies and steady bass lines, McGirr has been a key part of the band’s sound since its early days. Outside of Cattle Call, he has performed with Maine bands including The McCarthys and The Orbits, bringing decades of stage experience and musical camaraderie to the group.
Charlie Gaylord – Lead Guitar
Charlie provides the soaring lead guitar that gives Cattle Call its twang and bite. A respected Maine guitarist, Gaylord has also performed with Diesel Doug and the Long Haul Truckers and singer-songwriter Amy Allen, and is known for expressive playing that blends classic country tones with rock energy. His guitar work adds depth and drive to the band’s live shows.
John Davison – Drums, Vocals
John anchors the band with a steady, roots-driven rhythm on drums while contributing vocal harmonies. A veteran of the Maine music scene, he has performed with bands including The McCarthys and Diesel Doug and the Long Haul Truckers, bringing both experience and musical versatility to the Cattle Call lineup.
